About 20% of people who suffer with depression experience intermittent periods of exhilaration. These periods are marked by uncommon stamina and emotional excitement which often alternate with periods of depression.

Evaluation

If you are experiencing 3 or more of the symptoms listed above (or 4 of the symptoms if you are experiencing an irritable mood rather than an expansive mood) then you may be suffering from a bipolar disorder.
