Dr.
Marcia Wesley is a licensed psychologist who has been actively practicing
as a therapist since 1980. Marcia was born and raised in the San Francisco
Bay Area. After finishing her undergraduate degree in Sociology at the
University of California atSanta Barbara, she obtained her marriage
family and child counseling degree from Azusa Pacific University.. Shortly
thereafter she moved to Washington state where she developed a private
practice and was eventually asked to direct a counseling center. During
that period she engaged in intensive post graduate training in family
therapy with the Child Guidance Clinic of Philadelphia. In 1985 she
moved to the California Bay Area to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology.
She obtained her
doctorate in 1994 from the California Institute
of Integral Studies, which supplemented a strong foundation in traditional
western approaches to mental health with perspectives from other cultures
and traditions. After obtaining her license, Marcia opened her own private
practice where she counseled individuals, families and couples. Along
with her private practice, she has been active in the community. Among
her other accomplishments, she was the president of the Santa Clara
County Psychological Association in 2000-2001.
See moved back to
the Seattle area in 2003 and opened her practice in Kirkland where she
continues to counsel individuals, families, and couples.
